WYOMING WHISKEY WILL HOST AN EXPANDED VERSION OF THE BELOVED BARTENDER SHOOTOUT:
THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN BEST BARTENDERS COMPETE IN A LIVE COCKTAIL-MAKING COMPETITION.
We will kick off the regional competition in Jackson, Wyoming on Nov 8th. Join us for a live cocktail shootout with Wyoming’s best bartenders. 4 Winners at THE MOOSE will advance to the finals on December 1st 2017 in Jackson, Wyoming.

Round 2 of the Regionals will be November 13th at the TINWELL. With the 4 winning cocktail curators advancing to the finals in Jackson, WY on December 1st.
JIMMY'S BODEGA will be the site of the last regional. Where crafting swanky cocktails will decide the final 4 barmen and barwomen headed for the finals in Jackson, Wyoming on December 1st 2017.
TOP 4 Bartenders in each city will move on to compete in the Finals in Jackson Hole on December 1st, 2017
All Participating Bartenders will receive:

1st Place in Each Regional Competition
All 12 Finalists will receive a signed copy of Death & Co: Modern Classic Cocktails
All 12 Finalists will be treated to a 'Champions Dinner' before the competition
All 12 Finalists receive a Mountain Khaki gift card
All 12 Finalists will receive a day pass at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
All Finalists from Aspen and Salt Lake City will receive one night of lodging across from the venue.

WHO’S THE BADDEST BARTENDER IN THE ROCKIES?
1 BARTENDER AND 1 DRINK WILL DECIDE IT.
All contestants must be 21 years of age or older.
Cocktail must contain either Wyoming Whiskey Small Batch Bourbon or Outryder Straight American Whiskey.
Wyoming Whiskey MUST be the main spiritous ingredient in your cocktail (by volume).

Registration signup is open until October 30th, 2017.
Only 14 contestants per Region.

Drinks/cocktails must be:
No less than two (2) ingredients
No more than six (6) ingredients *ice is not an ingredient

GEAR AND EQUIPMENT
Be prepared to create five glasses (5) of the same cocktail for the judges. Wyoming Whiskey WILL BE provided for every event; all other tools, mixers, juices, garnishes, etc. will be the responsibility of the participant. Standard glassware and ice will be provided. Any specialty glassware or ice will be the responsibility of the participant.

Contestants will be scored on a point scale by the assigned judges.
The perfect score per judge is twenty (20) points via three categories: Taste (10 max points), Appearance (5 max points), and Imagination/Creativity (5 max points)
Deductions: (all one point -1): Sloppiness, spillage, and time consumption. It should not take more than five minutes to make a round of cocktails.
Tie Breaker: In the event of a tiebreaker, the cocktail with the fewest ingredients will be crowned victorious.
*The top 4 bartenders in each Regional Competition will be invited to compete in the Finals in Jackson Hole on December 1st, 2017.
20 Point scale:
Taste (10 max points)
Appearance (5 max points)
Imagination/Creativity (5 max points)
